Hahn: Accession negotiations for EU membership will last longer in the future
In an interview with the Austrian daily Tiroler Tageszeitung, the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Johannes Hahn spoke of the accession procedure for future candidate states, speaking of a longer negotiations path for EU membership in the future.

"Quality before speed", Hahn pointed out – adding that the membership of Hungary and Romania "revealed a lot of things", europeanwesternbalkans.com read.

The European commissioner also noted that the Union has learned lessons "from current accession processes", adding that,"The processes that we initiate in the Western Balkans should have a much higher degree of realization in terms of establishing the rule of law and combating corruption.".... / IBNA
