Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski has sent a letter to his Greek counterpart, Antonis Samaras, demanding for a meeting in order to talk about overcoming open issues and proposals for the issue of the name dispute.
According to the government’s press release, Gruevski has demanded a meeting during this week to advance negotiations and to harmonize stances for a solution of the name dispute.
Gruevski has proposed to his Greek counterpart about the establishment of expert teams under the leadership of both prime ministers, which will talk over the name dispute and where FYR Macedonia will ask for support in being issued the date for the start of negotiations with the EU. One of the proposals that has been made is for these talks to be held under the hospice of the UNO intermediary, Mathew Nimic. /ibna/
