Five traffickers and 30 African refugees have been stopped last night by the police of FYROM. Traffickers were transporting refuges from the border crossing area with Greece.
The five vehicles which were transporting emigrants from Syria, Somalia and Pakistan have not obeyed the order to stop and police has followed them.
During this operation, police has also used fire weapons to stop the traffickers and this led to the injury of a foreign refugee. Police said that the group of traffickers has been arrested, while the refugees were sent to asylum seekers’ centers. This is the second case that Macedonian police stops a large number of African emigrants. A week ago, around 100 emigrants, mainly from Syria, were discovered in a train filled with goods which had entered from Greece. /ibna/
