The Ministry of Economy plans two new laws in order to avoid tax evasion and one of them promotes (almost in an obligatory way) the use of cards instead of cash money. Specifically, till now Creeks had a discount in their taxes if they kept receipts of their transactions. Now, with the new law, receipts will not be accepted and tax return eligible to reductions shall be considered only if the transactions of the tax payer have been done with credit or debit cards.

The second law connects directly the cash register of small shops or big enterprises with the ministry of finance, so that every transaction is “visible”  to the General Secretariat of Public Revenue.
