Seven Greek universities among the 1000 best of the world

The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens is in the 301st place in the list of 1,000 best Universities, published by the Center for World University Rankings.

This position translates into a rise of 30 seats compared to last year’s ranking.

Moreover, in this classification are six other Greek Universities:

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (459th place)

University of Crete (515th place)

University of Ioannina (582nd position)

University of Patra (641st position)

National Technical University (695th place)

University of Thessaly (905th place)

As for universities that received the best score and complete the top five of the rankings table, these are three from the US and two from the UK. More specifically, first in the ranking is the University of Harvard (USA), followed by the University of Stanford (USA) and MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology – USA), while the first five complete the universities of Cambridge and Oxford (Great Britain).
