Greek sovereign credit rating upgraded by Fitch

One of the top three rating agencies, Fitch, upgraded the Greek sovereign credit rating by one notch from B- to B, maintaining its positive outlook.

According to Fitch’s estimation as presented in the agency’s report, “the sustainability of the state debt will improve with the contribution of the economic recovery and the reduction of the political risk as the primary surpluses which are ensured by the additional fiscal measures that will be implemented until 2020”, ANA-MPA reads based on the agency findings.

Given there will be a smooth conclusion of the third adjustment programme, the undermining of the economic recovery due to lack of trust “or the creation of new overdue debts to the state” is a risk reduced…/IBNA
