Greek FM Nikos Kotzias will visit Cairo on Thursday, November 17th, following contacts made during the fourth trilateral summit in Cairo in October.
Nikos Kotzias and his counterpart Sameh Shoukry will discuss outstanding issues of the 4th meeting, regional developments, the situation in Libya – the Greek Minister’s next stop in November – the crisis in Syria and refugee flows, terrorism, as well as cooperation between the two countries on security issues and joint actions, according to IBNA information .
During the meeting the two ministers will also discuss the delimitation of maritime zones, an issue raised by the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras during the bilateral meeting between himself and President Sisi.
It is worth noting that during the Tsipras – Sisi bilateral meeting in Cairo, the Prime Minister expressed his dissatisfaction concerning the slow process on the issue of delimitation between the two countries of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
President Sisi assured the Greek Prime Minister that he would do what is necessary to speed up procedures and agreed to a meeting of the two Foreign Ministers as soon as possible./ΙΒΝΑ
