Greek Alternate Defence Minister begins three – day visit to Cyprus

Alternate Minister of National Defence of Greece Dimitris Vitsas begins today a three – day official visit to Cyprus.

On Wednesday, Vitsas will hold a meeting with his Cypriot counterpart, Minister of Defence Christoforos Fokaides, followed by statements to the press.

He will also hold a meeting with President of the House of Representatives Yiannakis Omirou and visit the National Guard General Staff.

Today, he will lay a wreath at the Imprisoned Graves in Nicosia and meet with Presidential Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs Fotis Fotiou.

On Thursday he will visit the ELDYK (Greek Force in Cyprus) military camp where he will lay a wreath.

In the evening he will attend the celebrations in the ELDYK camp to welcome the New Year and exchange wishes with officers and soldiers.

He will return to Greece on Friday.
