Greece’s industry showing increase in gains by 2% in May

The General Turnover Index in industry note an increase by 2% in May 2013, both in domestic and foreign market, according to a report published by Greece’s National Statistics Service on Friday (ELSTAT).

This increase shows a better image of the country’s industrial turnover, as in May 2012, a decline of 3.8% was recorded.

According to ELSTAT, the industrial gains rose due to two crucial factors:

a. Τhe increase of Turnover Index in mines and quarries by 0.1% and
b. The increase of Turnover Index in processing industries by 2.1%
