Greece: Varvitsiotis met with Zoran Zaev

Bilateral relations between Greece and North Macedonia, including the consistent implementation of the Prespa Agreement, the deepening of economic cooperation between the two countries, as well as the European perspective of North Macedonia and the Western Balkan countries were, among other issues, the focus of a meeting held today in Skopje between Deputy Foreign Minister Miltiades Varvitsiotis and Prime Minister of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev.

The Deputy Minister stressed the need for full, consistent and faithful implementation of the Prespa Agreement as a necessary condition for further strengthening relations between Greece and North Macedonia and for realising the shared vision for the integration of North Macedonia into the European family.

The two sides confirmed the excellent level of bilateral relations between the two countries. The talks focused, inter alia, on economic issues, investment, energy issues, as well as regional developments and the management of the pandemic COVID19./ibna
