Greece: Mitsotakis on an official visit to the UAE, investments and cooperation in Foreign Policy and Defence high on the agenda

Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, from Tuesday afternoon, where he will meet today, Wednesday, with the Heir to the Throne, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

This is the second visit of the Greek Prime Minister to the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The first took place on February 4, 2020, when Kyriakos Mitsotakis had met with the Successor of the Throne, the Deputy Head of Mubadala State Investment Facility, Homaid Al Shimmari and with the Director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA), Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Kyriakos Mitsotakis, during his visit, will meet with the President of the Hedaya Center, Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, an international organization fighting violent extremism and will visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Center.

The Prime Minister is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nikos Dendias, the Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiadis, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, responsible for Economic Diplomacy and Extroversion, Konstantinos Frangogiannis, the Director of the Diplomatic Office of the Prime Minister, Ambassador Eleni Sourani, the head of the Prime Minister’s Finance Office, Alexis Patelis, and National Security Advisor, Thanos Dokos.

In addition to the meetings of the Greek Prime Minister, the Minister of Development Adonis Georgiadis with the Deputy Foreign Minister Costas Frangogiannis and the Head of the Finance Office of the Prime Minister Alexis Patelis, will hold meetings with the two largest financing funds of the Emirates, Mubadala Investment Co and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority ADIA.

In the framework of the official visit of the Prime Minister of Greece to Abu Dhabi, the Declaration of Strategic Partnership of the two countries, as well as the Cooperation Agreement in the fields of Foreign Policy and Defence will be signed./ibna
