MPs who participate in the parliamentary group of Independent MPs will hold a meeting, on Tuesday evening, to discuss the latest developments, as was revealed by one of its members, George Kasapidis.
Speaking on the radio station of the newspaper “Parapolitika”, Kassapidis said that he has not yet decided exactly what he will do on Wednesday, leaving however, open the possibility to support the candidacy of Stavros Dimas.
“Together with other MPs we are trying to convince the party leaders to enter into a government of national conciliation”, Kasapidis said and heralded a meeting last tonight with other MPs, who participate in the group of Independent MPs, to discuss the latest developments.
He expressed the hope that “the third ballot will create the conditions so that political leaders can see reality without selfishness”.
Along the same lines, in favour of a special purpose government, stands the independent MP of Piraeus, Giannis Kourakos, who made similar statements to the television station ANT1.
