Nikos Dendias had a meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the occasion of the 56th Munich Security Conference.
The Foreign Ministers from Greece and Russia discussed bilateral relations and regional security, according to the Greek Foreign Ministry.
The Russian Foreign Ministry also issued a statement on the meeting between Nikos Dendias and Sergey Lavrov, stating that affairs of regional and international interest were raised during their talks.
These included the situation in Syria, the efforts to achieve stabilization in Libya and, more broadly, the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean.
It is recalled that Nikos Dendias visited Moscow last November.
Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias also had meetings with North Macedonian Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov and with Mongolia’s Foreign Minister Tsogtbaatar Damdin, with whom two agreements were signed; one on tourism and the other one on abolishing the visa policy for holders of diplomatic passports between Greece and Mongolia.
The Greek Foreign Minister also met with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkevicius; the CDU/CSU Parliamentary Group Vice-President Johann Wadephul; the United Arab Emirates Secretary of State Anwar Mohammed; co-chairwoman of the Greens Party in Germany Annalena Baerbock, as well as with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nasser Al-Mohammad Al Sabah./ibna
