During the daily update on the progress of the epidemic in Greece, Ministry of Health Spokesman on COVID-19 Sotiris Tsiodras announced 35 new outbreaks and three more deaths in the country.
The victims were two men and one woman; 12 out of the 13 patients were facing serious underlying health issues and the 13th victim was over 80 years old. 12 coronavirus-related victims were men and only one was a 93-year-old woman. The average age of the diseased was 76 years.
As for the hospitalized patients, Sotiris Tsiodaras said their number had risen to 100, 18 of whom were intubated.
The total number of COVID-19 cases in Greece has now surged to 530, while for 98 of the cases the source of infection is unknown, with most of them reported in the Athens area. /ibna
