Government of Serbia invests 10 million Euros for the Serbs of Kosovo

Pristina, July 18, 2013

In spite of the agreement reached in Brussels for the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia, whereby the government of Kosovo has pledged for the allocation of a special fund for the Serbs of the north, the government of Serbia has decided to invest there, by signing an agreement for the construction of a power plant amounting to 10 million Euros.

An agreement has been signed for the construction of a regional water supply system in Zubin Potok which will supply with water the three communes in the north of Kosovo.

The agreement has been signed by the director of the Kosovo Office in the Government of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin and the heads of the illegal communes of Zubin Potok, Zvecan and Mitrovitza, Slavisha Ristic, Dragisha Milovic and Dragisha Vlashkovic and also by the representative of “Jedinstvo” company.

“This shows that when we work together, we can achieve anything. These three communes and their state have managed to finalize this project and now we can say that our children in Zubinom Potok, Zvecan and Mitrovitza will drink quality water, the same as in Novi Sad, Belgrade or Kraleva”, said Vulin.

The value of this project is over 10 million Euros and it’s expected to be finalized in 18 months time. /ibna/
