Through a press release issued today, Self Determination has reacted after the news of the death of a Kosovo emigrant from the cold, while attempting to cross the border between Hungary and Serbia.
After expressing its condolences, Self Determination says that the government has direct responsibility for this tragic death.
This party says that the political forces that lead the government today have brought the situation to this point. Self Determination also says that the new budget that was approved could not raise any hope for improvement.
“Even during Serbia’s regime and the war, there was much more interest and care for asylum seekers from Kosovo as opposed to today. It seems that the government has decided to turn into a border guard in order not to allow people to leave this camp of poverty”, reads the statement which further says that the death of a citizen in such circumstances is the highest price that the people of Kosovo are paying for the wrong allocation of public funds.
Self Determination demands from PM Isa Mustafa and Foreign Minister Hashim Thaci to travel to Hungary at once in order to visit the Kosovo refugee camps and inquire about their well being. “We also demand from our leaders to visit the legal and illegal border crossing points between Hungary and Serbia in order to experience what our citizens experience.” /ibna/
