Association of the Atlantic Pact of the Youth of Kosovo (AAPYK) says that it has demanded to the Ministry of the Security Force of Kosovo to send rescue teams to Bosnia and Serbia. AAPYK suggests that Kosovo must sent its troops to help in the flooded areas in the same way that government in Skopje has done by sending “Tigers” special troops in Serbia and Bosnia.
AAPYK says that the government must look into the possibility of sending specialized search and rescue teams and also a team of doctors in the framework of Kosovo Security Forces in order to aid people in need in the flooded areas of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia.
Minister of the Security Forces of Kosovo, Agim Ceku said that the government is waiting an invitation by Serbia and Bosnia to deploy FSK troops which will help authorities there to deal with the situation caused by floods.
The Association says that it’s carefully following the emergency situation caused by floods in the territory of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
AAPYK says that given that Serbia and Bosnia need help and support and given that they’ve demanded help by different countries, it wants to react to the best of its capacities.
“In the framework of a sincere regional cooperation, to help each other in difficult situations and bearing in mind the values of states and alliances that we want to be in the future, we propose to the Ministry of Security Force of Kosovo to send special search and rescue teams and a team of doctors in the framework of the Security Forces of Kosovo, in order to come to the aid of people in need in those areas”, reads the statement of AAPYK.
This association invites the government of Serbia and Bosnia to put aside their policies in emergency situations and to accept the help of the specialists from the Kosovo Security Forces, “in order to face natural catastrophes together as a region”.
Readiness of the Ministry of the Security Force of Kosovo
Minister of the Security Force of Kosovo, Agim Ceku has declared that this ministry is expecting an invitation from Serbia and Bosnia in order to deploy the troops of the Security Force of Kosovo to help the authorities there in dealing with the situation cased by the floods.
“Kosovo Security Forces are ready to help all of those who are in need of help in the region. We’re also ready to assist all those who need our help. This is a humanitarian issue and when we’re dealing with humanitarian issues, we put aside everything else. Ignoring the relations between the two countries and the fact that these countries have not recognized us, we’re ready to intervene when it comes to human lives”, said minister Ceku.
He added that Kosovo Security Force has the necessary potential and resources for such action. /ibna/
