Through a press statement released today, the government of Kosovo declared that it’s closely following the latest developments in FYR Macedonia, caused by the court ruling on the “Monstra” case and the protests that followed it.
The government of Kosovo says that political dialogue between communities and the implementation of the Ohrid Agreement is the only solution to open issues between communities in FYROM.
“Respect toward fundamental constitutional and institutional rights is the only way to avoid escalation of violence, which could have grave consequences for the entire region. The Republic of Kosovo is committed in the process of Euro Atlantic integration and regional cooperation and calls on all parties in the Republic of Macedonia not to resort to violence in order to solve political issues”, reads the press statement.
Based on this declaration, the Albanian people in FYROM has its own representatives elected in a democratic way, who are obliged to address the problems and the concerns of the Albanian population in an institutional way. /ibna/
