The Deputy Finance Minister Tryfonas Alexiadis said (in his speech in the Greek parliament) that there must be a final regulation for online gambling and that the transitional period has to end since it brought to the state a ridiculous amount of taxes.
Deputy Finance Minister stressed that it is a “scandal” the way the betting companies are taxed. The 24 betting companies operating on the Internet with temporary license have obviously found their way… out.
“At the same time the Greek citizens and Greek businesses men are forced to pay huge taxes, from those 25 companies we collected 5.179 euros in 2013 and 27,366 euros in 2014”, Alexiadis σαιδ.
