Leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), prime minister Hashim Thaci and minister of Agriculture, Blerand Stavileci, presented before farmers the supporting program for the agricultural sector. They said that the fund for agriculture foresees 500 million Euros and the opening of 50 thousand new jobs in the rural areas of the country.

Thaci pledged in front of farmers that success is guaranteed and that those 500 million Euros will be made available to them.

The head of the government said that the growth of good industry will create thousands of new jobs.

He even said that the purchase of agricultural machinery, which according to him, are vital for farmers, will be a priority for the government.

“The main project of the New Mission aims at employment. The employment fund amounts to 1.5 billion Euros. 500 million Euros will be invested directly in the agricultural sector. We’re planning to open another 50 thousand jobs”, said he.

The registration of agricultural assets will be made in November. It’s expected to enable, starting from next year, the application of a new subsidy formula.

According to minister Blerand Stavileci, this formula will make interests on agricultural loans go down to 5%. The minister said that there will even be a subsidy for the interest rates. /ibna/
