Gostivar held its first friendly match in the framework of the training phase taking place in Mavrova, against Partizani of Tirana, a match which ended in a 1-1 draw.
The first two score were the guests from Tirana with a goal by the Brazilian player, Magalhaes on the 37th minute, but Gostivar immediately drew on the 41st minute with Iliknur Xhaferi.
Coach Mensur Jakupi said that he was pleased with the game of Gostivar.
“After ten days of training, we had the first friendly match and it was hard for us, knowing that Partizani is one of the best teams in Albania and it had started the training earlier than us. But, we took our chances and played our first match against such a big team. It’s still early to offer an assessment. It was a match were there was a lot of strength and I’m happy with the game played by all the players”, said Jakupi.
Gostivar continues its training in Mavrova, where it will stay until the weekend. /ibna/
