Next Tuesday continues in the specially designed room of Korydallos prison the trial of the Golden Dawn.
According to information, the Justice Department has initiated all procedures for the transfer of proceedings to the Athens Court of Appeal. Already, the multipurpose room of the building will be ready by September 20, so that the president of the three-member Appeals Court for Felonies decides to transfer the proceedings to this space.
The mayor of Korydallos, Stavros Kasimatis, along with the vice-Prefect of Piraeus, Giorgos Gavrilis, with their request they had sent to the court, they asked from the Seat to transfer the trial of the Golden Dawn outside Korydallos.
They had argued that the conditions that have been created not allow this trial to be in this region, where there are dozens of schools and houses.
The president of the three-member Appeal for Felonies had explicitly stated that if the ministry has at its disposal the appropriate room, the court may decide on the transfer of proceedings.
Furthermore, Friday, September 11 will take place the established sanctification in schools for the start of the new school year.
