Germany strongly supports Kosovo’s path toward the EU accession.
This was declared by the German ambassador to Pristina, Angelika Viets last night on the reception hosted on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of the reunification of Germany.
“Germany remains committed for the European project and the process of European integration for Western Balkans, including the Republic of Kosovo”, Viets declared.
The German ambassador also called for the majority and opposition to engage in constructive dialogue.
“Teargas and violence have no place in a democracy and even less in parliament. I encourage all political actors players, the government and the opposition to work for the creation of a political culture, in order to take the country forward and welcome new incentives”, said ambassador Viets.
The German ambassador has called on institutions to fight corruption and strengthen the rule of law.
“This is the only way to give way to German and foreign investments in Kosovo. Remove bureaucratic obstacles and strengthen the rule of law in order to boost investments. I hope that the government will continue to improve investment conditions, in order to boost Kosovo’s economic development”, declared Angelika Viets. /balkaneu.com/
