Germany sends a special envoy to negotiate the crisis in FYROM

The head of the German diplomacy, Frank-Walter Steinmeier has appointed a special envoy for FYROM, who will negotiate a solution for the political crisis. He announced this on Twitter. The special envoy will be the German diplomat, Johannes Haindl, who in coordination with EU and US representatives, will negotiate the solution of the crisis.

Haindl was born in Munich in 1956. After he worked as a journalist, he started a diplomatic career. In 2015, he was appointed German ambassador to Austria. At the beginning of his diplomatic career, he worked in the German embassy in Yugoslavia, while from 2001 until 2004, he was Chief of the Department for Special Forces in Western Balkan. In 2006, he was appointed representative of the German Foreign Minister for Southeastern Europe and Turkey. In 2009, Johannes Haindl was appointed vice chairman of the Mission in the USA an then an ambassador in the Czech Republic. /balkaneu.com/
