Germany demands from the new government in Pristina to improve the business environment.
The lack of the rule of law and corruption has discouraged German investors who had decided to invest their capital in Kosovo.
This was said by German ambassador to Kosovo, Angelika Viets during a debate held by the German Chamber of Commerce dubbed “Dialogue for Economic Policies”.
In the presence of PM Mustafa, Viets said that the prices for goods imported from Germany have been discussed in a number of occasions by Customs of Kosovo.
She said that rules must be respected, but rules must not turn into an obstacle for enterprises.
Participants in this debate said that many German investors have left Kosovo as a result of corruption and the lack of rule of law.
Meanwhile, the PM said that he will hold open dialogue with businesses to see what is working in the current economic system of Kosovo and what must be changed. /ibna/
