Albanians who are rejected asylum in Germany will not be given any financial assistance by the state.
This was officially announced today by the German embassy to Tirana in a press release, in which German authorities clarify a recent news story broadcasted in the Albanian media, according to which, asylum seekers who are deported, will be financially assisted by the German state.
“In contrast to what is reported by the German media, Albanian asylum seekers in Germany, who have been rejected will no longer receive any further financial support or financial assistance for their return. Germany has classified Albania as a safe country of origin, the same as other countries of Western Balkans. Rejected asylum seekers will be deported to Albania and may be banned from entering the Schengen area for a particular period of time, which may last up to five years. Should they not leave the country of their own accord, authorities will make sure they are forcefully deported to Albania”, the German embassy’s press release states. /balkaneu.com/
