Member of the German Bundestaf, Tobias Gotthardt held a meeting today with Albanian MPs to discuss the recent political crisis in the country and the possible solutions to this crisis. In a press conference after the meeting, the German deputy said that “all politicians who want democracy are in favour of dialogue and address any political event by offering the arguments of the party that they represent”.
“In Europe and Germany people are talking about the situation in Albania and the reforms that have been undertaken here. I’ve come to take a closer look at the situation. I’ve met with students, members of parliament and also heads of parliamentary formations. We have talked a lot about the reforms that your country has taken, such as the reform in justice and the vetting process and I think that you’ve made a lot of progress”, Gottardt said.
“Being a European who believes in EU values, I’m here to show my support about the steps that Albania is taking in the process of EU integration and I think that both Albania and the EU will benefit from this process”, Gottard said. /ibna/
