Speculations made by obsessive enemies of Greece, but they will fail, the government replies
By Spiros Sideris
The Greek Government in a statement cauterized the “provocative” reports in the German press, speaking of unrepentant enemies of Greece, who once again make speculations.
It notes that no one can blackmail anymore, neither with a “haircut” of deposits nor with a Grexit, and stresses that whether they like it or not, they will have to get used to the idea that the Greek people chose a government that is not to their liking, and that Greece is not longer alone in Europe.
The article, which caused the outrage of Maximos Mansion was published in the newspaper Die Welt, which cites a three-page report of the German Embassy in Athens, in which Greece is “practically ungovernable”, seems like a “rudderless ship” and the first evaluation of the programme may maybe delayed until the summer of 2016.
In the statement of the prime minister’s office, “on today’s provocative publications in the German press”, it is stated: “once again, the unrepentant and obsessive enemies of Greece misinform make speculations. Greece, however, despite their wishes, which they call forecasts, is implementing its commitments. The recapitalisation process has ended with great success and nobody can blackmail anymore, neither with a ‘haircut’ of deposits, nor with a Grexit “.
“They estimated that will bring back through the window what they failed to bring last July”, it is stated and stresses: “they failed, and will continue to fail. Whether they like it or not, they will have to get used to the idea that the Greek people chose a government that is not to their liking. And the worst part is: Greece is no longer alone in Europe”.
