German ambassador in Tirana, Helmut Hoffman declared today in front of a group of young people that Germany only welcomes qualified workers and that it doesn’t grant economic asylum.
“My appeal for you is not to abandon the country, because there are no economic migrants. All of those who have arrived in Germany, have been repatriated. We will open the labor market for all of those who come from Western Balkans, but employment can only be made if young people go to Germany in an independent way, seek a job, sign a contract with an enterprise, return to Albania and apply for work permit in our embassy here. This is the only possibility”, Hoffman said.
Ambassador Hoffman suggests to Albanian youngsters to be driven by professional education, which is one extra opportunity for employment.
The German ambassador’s appeal was issued in the presentation of the study “Albania Youth 2015” by “Friedrich Ebert” Trust. Based on the results of the study, 59,8% of young people in Albania want to move abroad. /ibna/
