The Gay Pride Parade will be held today for the first time in Pristina and according to the organizers, this parade aims at raising social awareness that “LGBI community is also entitled to love and not to be judged by the community”.
This parade is held following three marches organized in previous years, where Kosovo’s state officials expressed their support for this community.
Activities in support of this community have started on 6 October.
A study conducted by the National Democratic Institute reveals that Kosovo is the most homophobic country in the region, where people from this community are discriminated in all domains of life. /balkaneu.com/
