Albania and FYROM are entering the final stage of the procurement process for the construction of the 400 kV interconnection line and this example should also be followed in the gas field.
This was confirmed today by the Albanian minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Damian Gjiknuri during the ceremony for the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two countries. This memorandum aims at coordinating efforts in the project for the interconnection of natural gas networks.
“Today’s signature between our two gas companies is a necessity. Through this project and through this cooperation, we’re hoping on applying for EU financial support because this agenda fully complies with the Berlin process or the regional connectivity agenda”, Gjiknuri said. /ibna/
