The Minister of Foreign Affairs of FYROM Nicola Poposki will be visiting Athens on December the 17th after the official invitation of his Greek counterpart Nikos Kotzias. The two ministers were last met on June, when they agreed upon eleven confidence-building measures -with the two countries cooperating in the fields of education civilization, finance, transportation, energy, internal security etc.
The name dispute still remains a burden for the improvement of the relations of the two countries. Nevertheless the cooperation on various fields (energy, refugees, migrants, addressing smuggling and other issues) could prove helpful in building bilateral ties and eventually in finding a mutually acceptable solution to the name dispute.
