Gross foreign debt in FYR Macedonia amounts to 6,18 billion Euros. This was published today by the Central Bank in Skopje.
This total debt also includes debt to other foreign and national banks, Central Bank, debt to companies, etc. In the first three months of this year, debt has risen by 230 million Euros.
This amount of debt is placing the country in the list of countries with the highest debts. Government in FYROM continues to borrow from international financial institutions, following a high deficit in the last few years, due to the failure to be efficient in collecting taxes. /ibna/
