FYR Macedonia has announced plans to reduce the number of its troops for NATO’s ISAF international mission in Afghanistan for 2015. This was announced by the Foreign Minister, Nikola Popovski, who said that that the number of soldiers will be reduced from 152 to 18. It’s not yet known where this small number of soldiers will be distributed.
“Based on our evaluations, we have decided to reduce our presence in the ISAF mission. Like many other countries, we committed in the mission and we will offer our contribution. The country has also been praised for its contribution in the peace keeping mission ISAF in Afghanistan”, declared minister Popovski.
