The constitutional amendments needed to be approved for the Prespes Agreement to take effect have entered their third phase, following their voting by the majority in parliament.
The eight MPs who have been expelled from VMRO-DPMNE and who voted in favour of these amendments during the first reading, abstained this time. VMRO-DPMNE MPs said that Greece should incorporate the same clauses in its Constitution, but the government said that this agreement is a joint agreement and that it’s binding for both sides.
The first phase consists of a public debate on the agreement in question and then, MPs need to vote in favour of the final constitutional agreements. /ibna/
