Igor Angelovski has been appointed the new coach of the football national side in FYR Macedonia, following the departure of the former coach, Ljubinko Drulovic. Several months ago, the latter was appointed as manager of the national side, to improve the image of the team after the poor results in the qualifying matches for Euro 2016.

But the constant defeats obliged Drulovic to leave.

The football association appointed Igor Angelovski and his contract will depend on the results achieved in the next friendly matches and the first qualifying matches for the next World Cup.

Angelovski has been one of the most successful coaches in FYR Macedonia. In 2013/2014, he was Rabotnicki’s coach and won two champion titles for this team. Last year, he won the Cup of Macedonia with this team.

Angelovski will start his new job in a fixture against Montenegro on 12 November in Skopje. /ibna/
