Imprisonment and high fines will be given based on the laws in FYR Macedonia, if a newspaper publishes the caricature of prophet Muhammad.
This warning has been issued by sources within the State Committee for Religions, which has commented the latest developments that encourage religious hate after the massacre of Charlie Hebdo in Paris.
According to the Constitution and the laws of the country, if media in FYROM publishes caricatures of prophet Muhammad, then the media in question would be subject to the law on religious hate. According to the Constitution of the country, those people who encourage religious hate, will be sentenced 1 to 5 years in prison.
So far, no media has published the caricature, which came with the last issue of “Charlie Hebdo” and which sparked reactions in the Muslim world. /ibna/
