The Spanish national football team has defeated last night the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia in a match played in Skopje as part of the Russia 2018 world cup qualifiers.
The Spaniards dominated the game and won 2-1, with goals scored by David Silva and Diego Costa, while Stefan Ristovski scored for FYROM.
After this defeat, FYROM ranks 5th with three points in the group where Spain and Italy lead with 16 points. They are followed by Albania and Israel with 9 points each.
On 2 September, FYROM will play Israel, while on 5 September it will play Albania in Skopje.
After this defeat, coach Angelovski said that he’s not happy with the game, but according to him, the players made a good appearance in the second half of the match. /balkaneu.com/
