The new “Doing Business” report issued by World Bank and IFC puts FYR Macedonia for the fourth year in a row amongst the ten economies of the world which has seen an improvement of the business and regulatory environment from June last year until June this year, implementing 6 regulatory reforms, which have facilitated business for local entrepreneurs.
World Bank office in Skopje said that FYROM has facilitated the transmission of power supply by reducing the time needed for a new connection and it has also enforced the system for safe transactions by offering more flexibility.
Protection of investors has strengthened by enabling shareholders to demand revocation of incorrect transactions.
“Once again, this country proved to be a leader in the region and beyond in improving business environment”, said Tatjana Proskurjakova, director of the World Bank office in Skopje. In the past few years, FYR Macedonia has ranked first among Western Balkan countries. /ibna/
