Addressing the Turkish Parliament, Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay added more fuel to the fire that is the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean by stating that Turkey would do whatever it takes to protect its interests, speaking of drillings and even military operations!
“We do not answer to the international community, but instead we demand that it answers to us! We always work in Turkey’s interests, and so we continue. Without asking for the permission of any country, person or organization, we will do what is in our country’s best interest; indeed, this is what we are doing. Even if it means there is a need for a military operation across borders, for troops, for drilling in the Eastern Mediterranean, or an overseas operations. We will do whatever it takes. Our president Recep Tayyip Erdogan is one of the very few leaders who are able to talk with most of the world’s heads of state”, the Turkish Vice-President argued. /ibna
