Macedonian opposition party, LSDM, published today fresh materials relating to the wiretapping scandal. Opposition leader, Zoran Zaev, published several conversations between minister of Finance, Zoran Stavrevski and Interior minister, Gordana Jankulovska, who are considered as the two most eavesdropped ministers of the current government.
In their conversations, they talk about the financial problems and the state budget. Finance minister, Stavrevski expresses his concern to minister Jankulovska in relation to the problems with debt and for the decision of PM Nikola Gruevski to borrow more money.
“Their conversations show why Jankulovska and Stravrevski were nervous during the approval of the 2012 budget, which at that time was approved with closed doors. Gruevski’s ministers admit that budget revenues are catastrophic”, declared the opposition leader.
“It’s not a good thing that we’re increasing expenditure. No country in the world does this. Even America would not be able to handle this situation”, was said in one of the conversations. Minister Stavrevski is also heard complaining about the construction of monuments and other objects. The two ministers also express their concern about the reaction of the international community.
Leader of the Macedonian opposition, Zoran Zaev said that after the publication of this conversation, PM Gruevski, along with ministers Jankulovska and Stavrevski must step down. Asked as to whether he will publish other materials relating to Albanian officials, he said that he will not spare anything. /ibna/
