A spokesman of the French Foreign Ministry, Romain Nadal, said on Monday in Paris that “the arrest of Ramush Haradinaj has no political background”.
He said that “the procedures taking place against Ramush Haradinaj are legal issues, based on Interpol’s request”.
Spokesman Nadal said in a press conference that this case “doesn’t France’s policy and its support for reconciliation in the region and the continuation of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina”.
He said “judicial authorities in France are carefully examining this case” and that “this case is now being handled by judicial authorities”.
“France is one of the first countries that has recognized Kosovo’s independence and has close relations with it”, said Nadal during a press conference. /balkaneu.com/
