Minister of Interior of the Republic of Kosovo, Bajram Rexhepi has received in a meeting today the ambassador of France to Kosovo, Maryse Daviet in order to discuss about unlawful migration of the citizens of Kosovo.
In this meeting, the French ambassador denied rumors that France accepts asylum claims from the citizens of Kosovo.
She said that the French government is in the process of amending the asylum legislation, which will favor the acceleration of the examination of claims. The French ambassador said that the citizens of Kosovo must not fall a victim of groups of individuals who offer unlawful migration and pay them great amounts of money, in order to end up in detention centers in European countries.
Police of Kosovo has arrested a significant number of people who are involved in organized crime and smuggling of human beings.
According to the interlocutors, unlawful migration of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo to EU countries, has a negative impact in the process of the liberalization of visas and the process of European integration of Kosovo. /ibna/
