The Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu tweeted that the fourth Turkish ship, Oruc Reis, is on its way to the eastern Mediterranean. Responding to the Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroglu, who questioned Turkey’s absence from the eastern Mediterranean, Mevlut Cavusoglu commented that Kemal Kilicdaruoglu obviously thinks that Fatih, Yavuz and Barbaros are all Greek ships.
The Turkish Minister posted on Twitter: “Mr. Kilicdaroglu obviously thinks that Fatih, Yavuz and Barbaros, which protect our rights and the rights of ‘TRNC’, are Greek ships. Our fourth ship, Oruc Reis, is also on its way. We are ready to brief on the subject the President-in-Office, who is insufficiently informed about our national affair in Cyprus”.
Kemal Kilicdaroglu had earlier stated in a speech in Nevsehir that “cooperation with the Syrian government is needed, while relations with Egypt must be stabilized. In the eastern Mediterranean there is rich oil, gas. America is there, Greece is there, the Greek-Cypriot administration of north Cyprus is there, Egypt is there, Qatar is there, everyone is there, only one state is missing, Turkey. Why is that? They say they have a successful foreign policy. Why aren’t we there? Because we quarreled with Egypt; and why did that happen? We had no problem with Egypt; why did we quarrel? I want my brothers in the AK Parti to think about that”. /ibna
