FYROM’s former PM, Nikola Gruevski, who has fled to Hungary, is now facing two new charges. According to the Special Prosecution, the first charge relates to the illegal funding of his party, VMRO-DPMNE. It is alleged that VMRO-DPMNE has benefited millions of euros from different businesses.
Meanwhile, the second charge relates to the illegal construction of this party’s headquarters. In this case, Gruevski is under investigation along with his two collaborators, Mile Janakievski (former minister of Transport) and former secretary of VMRO-DPMNE, Cyril Bozinovski.
According to the prosecution, from 2009 until 2015, Gruevski and his associates have managed to secure 4,5 million euros for VMRO-DPMNE party. /ibna/
