The Court of Vlora in Albania has decided to sentence the former mayor of this city, Shpetim Gjika to four years in prison on four counts, which include abuse in the line of duty and illegal construction. Mr. Gjika has served as mayor of Vlora for 12 years.
However, the prosecutor of the case requested 9 years for the defendants based on the charges that he faced.
