Former  head of the European Commission offers messages of encouragement in Skopje

Skopje must once again be at the focus of the process of EU accession. This was declared today by former head of the European Commission and former Italian PM, Romano Prodi following a meeting with parliamentary speaker, Talat Xhaferi.

According to him, this process has already started and it should continue. Prodi said that he will do everything to assist the country’s EU accession.

On his part, parliamentary speaker Xhaferi briefed former PM Prodi on the process of reforms and other priorities which concern the country’s integration.

Prodi arrived in Skopje to receive the world prize for humanism. This award will be given to him tomorrow by the Ohrid Academy for Humanism for his unique contribution about the perspective of contemporary civilisation.  /ibna/
