Protests were held last night in Skopje by civil organization “I Protest”. In spite of the rain, protesters marched toward parliament and the government building.
Protesters demanded the release of the leader of the Left Party, Zdravko Savevski, who was arrested for participation in violent protests.
Last night, protesters continued to stain state institutions with paint and last night it was the Foreign Ministry’s turn. Among protesters there was also the Macedonian opposition leadership.
Leader of SDSM (Macedonian Social Democratic Union), Zoran Zaev called on protesters to participate in the protests.
“Every day I call for quiet and non violent protests. I call on citizens to participate in the protests in great numbers. We have one million reasons to protest, but at the same time, we must be careful not to allow any kind of violence. Protests must be quiet and we must be determined that we want Macedonia to be a normal country once again”, said Zoran Zaev. /balkaneu.com/
