Foreign ministers of the region to meet in Thessaloniki

“The strengthening of regional stability and cross-border cooperation between countries of Western Balkans can only be achieved by intensifying dialogue and by tackling the current challenges together.” This was the opening message of the Greek Foreign minister, Nikos Kotzias at the start of the ministerial of Thessaloniki, the third one since 2016, which is held in the northern Greek city upon the incentive of the Greek Foreign minister.

“I would like to welcome my dear friend, Bushati. Together, we have entered a new phase of the solution of our bilateral relations which have been pending for decades”, said among others the Greek foreign minister.

Besides the region’s foreign ministers, the meeting is also being attended by the interior ministers of the four participating countries, Albania, Greece, Bulgaria and FYROM. The media has expressed great interest, especially on the bilateral meetings between Kotzias and Dimitrov and Kotzias and Bushati. /ibna/
