Foreign Ministers of Balkan EU Member-States to participate in videoconference with the Western Balkan states

The Foreign Ministers of the EU member states of the region and the countries of the Western Balkans will hold a virtual conference at 10:00 (Central European Time) at the initiative of Greece and North Macedonia, following the Thessaloniki conference held in February.

In the teleconference, the regional cooperation of the countries of the area is expected to be discussed alongside the coordination of their future actions, in view of the gradual lifting of the restrictive measures imposed due to the pandemic.

Ways to address and minimize the consequences of these measures will be explored through the financial support of the Western Balkan countries, and the next steps will be taken towards lifting travel restrictions and restarting tourism, always ensuring public health, according to the announcement of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs. /ibna
